Our .org is a growing, dedicated community of educators, developers, business leaders and parents with a common focus:
To ensure life and workplace ‘soft skills’ are taught as a required component of U.S. education.
We envision a world where soft skills training is an integral, formalized part of our student’s education.
To provide 4th-12th grade students with the cutting-edge, business standard soft skills training employers expect, prior to graduation.
WE ACCOMPLISH THIS BY:
Introducing soft skills development to students at an early age with micro-learning videos and metacognitive assignments.
Addressing 21st Century Skills standard rubric over the course of nine years (4th-12th).
Providing in-school soft skills seminars at the elementary, middle school and high school levels.
Partnering and supporting 21st Century Community Learning Centers, by providing soft skills training to obtain and retain jobs locally.
“In my world, I am trying to infuse 21st Century Skills in post secondary academic programs and the workforce itself, but I say to myself, what are we doing to instill these skills earlier? And what you have is a great and well done example.”
Learning soft skills is just as important to the success of a student in school, the work place and in life as is academic learning.
Soft skills training should occur much earlier than high school.
That if a fraction of the $70 billion dollars spent on corporate soft skills training were invested in soft skills training for our students, the positive impact on our current and future workforce would be much greater.
That developing soft skills at an early age is necessary to develop a student’s full potential.
Soft skills enhance a student’s desire and ability to learn and perform in school.
